Assaf is the SVP of Product & Engineering and co-founder of Persado, responsible for the advancement of cognitive content as well as strategy, management and advancement of Persado's growing product portfolio. Previously, he was VP of Product for Upstream, one of the largest mobile marketing companies in the world. While there, Assaf and his team of pioneering researchers developed what ultimately became Persado's cognitive content platform. Before Upstream, he was Senior Director of Product Strategy for speech and imaging solutions supplier Nuance Communications, “arguably the most advanced speech recognition company in the world,” with ties to Siri, according to Forbes. At Nuance, Assaf was responsible for developing highly advanced speech recognition-enabled self-service systems as well as on-demand and mobile solutions. Assaf came to Nuance by way of the company’s acquisition of BeVocal, the leading provider of voice-recognition software for customer care applications. He holds multiple patents at the intersection of natural language processing, machine intelligence, and human/machine interactions. Assaf received an MBA from University of San Francisco and a Masters degree in Social Psychology from the Sorbonne in Paris.
