Grant Duncan leads Spencer Stuart’s Digital Practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa advising companies and boards on the leadership challenges and opportunities brought about by digital transformation. He also leads the firm’s UK Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practice with a particular focus on media and content businesses. He brings more than 25 years of experience as a senior leader in advertising, marketing and executive search to his role.
Before joining Spencer Stuart, Grant was a partner and the brand strategy leader at a boutique executive search firm specialising in the marketing services sector.
Prior to that, he was CEO of Publicis Group’s UK operation. Grant led Publicis to the top five in the UK agency rankings, transforming it from an ad agency into a communications company spanning advertising, digital, CRM, publishing and design.
Grant’s 25 years in advertising also included senior roles and work on award-winning, market-defining campaigns at Collett Dickenson & Pearce, Gold Greenlees Trott and TBWA. He is past chairman of the communications industry charity NABS and of the Advertising Standards Authority’s advisory panel, and is a fellow of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising and The Marketing Society.
Grant was educated at Dulwich College, holds an MA from St. Andrews University, and is a graduate of the INSEAD Advanced Management Programme. He speaks English, French and German.
